There is nothing like going to Grandmother’s house.
I have so many charming memories of Grandmother’s house.
My siblings as well as I recently all got together for the first time in a couple of years, as well as my friend and I mostly talked about Grandmother’s house as well as our memories made there… One memory that my friend and I all had in respected was gaining an average of five pounds when staying at Grandmother’s house for a week. It was deranged how much my friend and I ate when at her house. Another thing that my friend and I all remembered was how warm Grandmother kept her house. It really did not matter what time of year it was; Grandmother’s house would be about eighty degrees. It was nice in the winter season time, however during the Summer months, eighty degrees is too warm. My Grandmother did use a/c because my friend and I live down south, as well as it gets really sizzling during the Summer months. It is usually over a hundred degrees for most of the summer! The a/c is set to eighty though, so the house still feels too warm in my opinion. It is a memory that my friend and I will always have though. I particularly miss walking into that really warm house. The warmth reminds me of my Grandmother. It is really hilarious to me, however my younger sister keeps her house at eighty degrees each September 4th in memory of our Grandmother! September 4th was her birthday, so my sister remembers her by making her house warm just as Grandmother’s house used to be. It was so nice to visit with my siblings as well as talk about our memories of our sweet Grandmother as well as the fantastic old afternoons staying at her house.
