I am so thankful that my husband and I got to stay in one home and raise our children. There is nothing wrong with moving, but I particularly hoped that my pal and I would be able to stay in the same home and raise our children. I grew up in a military family, and I am so thankful for my Mom and all that he did for our country, but I never loved having to move around all of the time. I lived in seven different houses in the first seventeen years of my life. It was difficult on the family to have to move all of the time, so I particularly hoped that once my husband and I purchased a home my pal and I would stay there for many years. My dream came true because my pal and I have been in the same home for over thirty years. I enjoy our house, but it does have some concerns. One of our biggest concerns is the basement. It gets particularly humid and moist down in the basement, and mold grows on everything down there if my pal and I do not take care of the moisture. My wonderful friend and I had tried many things, but the best thing so far has been leaving two dehumidifiers running down there 24/7 as well as opening the door that leads outside from the basement. My wonderful friend and I had one dehumidifier that was given to us by my parents, but just the one did not take care of all of the moisture, so my pal and I purchased a second one. Since my pal and I have been using this method, my pal and I have not had hardly any moisture concerns.
