The joy of the holiday season is something that my family has always cherished.
- I just love the holidays.
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday by far. Being thankful is something that many of us lack, and Thanksgiving is a great reminder. I love spending time with friends and family and getting to eat a lot of amazing food. My grandmother hosted our family Thanksgivings for over forty-five years, and she did such a wonderful job. Sadly, my beautiful grandmother went to heaven to be with Jesus last year, and I was left to be the next host for our traditional family Thanksgiving feast. There is no way that I will ever be able to do as good of a job as my grandmother, but I love to host. It was very cold outside on Thanksgiving day this year, so I had my husband turn the heat up about five degrees. It was negative three degrees outside, so I wanted to make sure that the house would be warm enough for our guests. I baked and cooked all day long, and that helped the house to warm up even more. I arrived, and there ended up being over thirty of us in the house. With that many people, the house got so warm that it was uncomfortable. I turned the heat down to sixty degrees, but it was still too warm after an hour or so of waiting for it to cool down. I ended up turning the air conditioning on. It was negative three degrees outside, and I had the air conditioning on! It ended up being a wonderful holiday filled with a lot of memories.
