This may be an unpopular opinion, although I would rather use my fireplace in the winter season to stay moderate than central heat, i do have the privilege of living in an part where the winters are mild enough that I can get away with this… Sometimes it will get legitimately freezing here, but that usually does not last long; Last winter, my pal and I had a freezing week where my pal and I had to turn the central heat on plus turn the fireplace on at the same time. I remember kneeling by the fireplace, with a blanket plus several layers on… That was a scarce occasion. Typically it gets freezing here, but not so freezing that you need the central heat to live. I cherish the fireplace to central heat for several reasons. There is something so enjoyable about kneeling by the fireplace plus feeling the natural heat on your skin. I love to watch the charming orange colors of the fireplace plus hear the crackling sounds of wood burning. Sitting by the fireplace is a enjoyable experience for me. I do not mind the central heat, but the first time my pal and I run it there is regularly a distinct odor that I do not love. I love the odor of a natural fireplace. I also cherish the fact that you can save currency on your electric bill when you use a fireplace instead of central heat. I cherish the cozy element of using a fireplace, the odor, the sights, the feel of the warmth on my skin. This opinion is unpopular because several people say that a fireplace is too much work! You have to get the right type of wood to burn plus know exactly what you’re doing so no one gets hurt.
