I decided to move to the south after living in the north for the majority of my life.
I have been living here for almost ten years, and I have not run into anyone I went to highschool with.
This is not surprising at all, because most people that I went to highschool with still live in the same area. I also moved to an area that is not a huge tourist destination. I had been having some issues with my air conditioner which made me very nervous because it is really hot and humid here. I kept turning my smart thermostat down, but the temperature in the house was not changing. This was becoming very uncomfortable. After doing some research and trying to fix my air conditioner problem on my own, I decided to call a local HVAC company. The HVAC service representative on the phone was very nice and told me that they could have a technician out to my house in just a few hours. I patiently waited, while sweating and the HVAC technician arrived. When the HVAC technician arrived, I immediately noticed that he looked familiar but I could not figure out from where. He asked me about the A/C issues and I told him the problems. He put his van keys down and I noticed on his key ring we had the same key chain from our highschool. I asked the HVAC technician if he went to the same highschool as me, and he did. It is a very small world. He moved down to the south to start his successful career as an HVAC technician.
