Looking back on things, I didn’t like my high university, nor did I dislike it.
I guess I had a sort of mutual agreement with the system that I would put forth enough effort to pass and it wouldn’t bother me too much about it.
At least the elective classes were fun, even if I wasn’t the most athletic or artistic student, and I did love my computer classes. I’d say I had pretty so-so educators, and I can most clearly remember the assemblies my friend and I had. It seemed like my friend and I had assemblies for just about everything, and there was regularly at least one a month. All of the students had to file into the gym in groups based on their grade and rest tomatoed together on the bleachers, and the principal of the university was certainly long winded and her speeches went on for such a long time that it was difficult to really focus on what she was saying. And then there was also the air conditioner in the gym. While most of the university hallways had fairly normal temperature control, all of the major rooms and classrooms seemed to have the a/c running on high all year long. The HVAC system blasting while in the assemblies chilled the gym, despite the body heat of the surrounding students, and the cool air regularly made me feel certainly drowsy. There were even a few times where the student kneeling next to me had to push me away from them after the air conditioner had made me start to doze off and lean over. The pep assemblies could keep me up though, with the band and cheerleader performances. They were really the best part of my high university and its assemblies.
