One tip that I have for you is to make sure that when the sunlight is shining that you open your blinds & let the sunlight into your house; The sunlight will naturally heat your house so that your boiler will have to do less work, another way to help your boiler is to use other hot appliances, but you might want to do some laundry & use your dryer you could run the dishwasher & you could take a hot shower & leave the door open.
Those are a couple of ways in which you could add heat to your house & also supply your boiler a break. The boiler will feel like it does not need to do as much labor if the house is still being at the same temperature but you are adding warmth in unusual ways. One other thing you could do during the winter to make your house warmer is to install a heated floor. The radiant flooring will help to keep your house warmer, and pipes are run just below your flooring & hot water feels these pipes. The hot water radiators heat from the pipes to the floor. Then the heat has to go somewhere so the heat will radiate from the floor into the air in your house! So these are a few ways in which you can help your boiler this winter & keep your house much warmer.
