They complained and said they were ready to go back home.

I try to plan a fun and education trip for my family every summer. I have four adolescents and they can get a little stir silly if they are cooped up in the house all afternoon long. So, this summer time I have decided to take them to a historical neighborhood that mimics life the way it was in the 1710s, and this means my good friend and I will go fishing for our food, make our own supplies and live without a heating and cooling system. I know my adolescents aren’t going to be glad about not having central air conditioner for a couple of nights, but I suppose it will be a good lesson for them. I don’t want them to grow up spoiled and suppose almost everyone is lucky enough to have a heating and cooling system in their home, however when my good friend and I first got to the neighborhood they didn’t even notice that their wasn’t air conditioner. However, after spending a long afternoon outside working and playing they were ready to come home to the a/c. When they realized our house didn’t have any air conditioner they were not glad. They complained and said they were ready to go back home. I told them my good friend and I were going to stick it out and that they would care about having a working a/c even more when my good friend and I got back home. I knew they were going to have this reaction, but I wanted them to see how good they had it. The minute my good friend and I got home from our trip they all ran and sat under the a/c vent for hours.
