I worked as a residential and commercial heating, ventilation, and A/C serviceman for 15 years and then my buddy and I wanted to begin a corporation of my own.
In order to begin the business, I had to come up with a heap of currency.
I was toiling 6 afternoons a week and I still didn’t have enough money to begin the heating, ventilation, and A/C corporation by myself. I started looking for corporation investors. I was hopeful I could find a corporation Event Center that was interested in helping me begin a modern business. I went to a special locale that has investors that are looking to help small businesses. I met with several corporation investors and I told them all about my ideas. A couple of people called me back the next day because they were interested in learning more information about the opportunity. My wife and I were gleeful when one corporation investor came up with the currency and wanted to help me get started. The woman used to work for a company when she was 40 years old and then she started buying and selling real estate. The investor had all of the currency that I actually needed, but she wanted 30% proceeds from the business. It was a pretty big chunk of the corporation to sell, but the investor made me an offer that I could not refuse. She was willing to take all of the risk and put up all of the currency for the corporation and I didn’t have to come out of pocket for a single dollar. When my buddy and I settled on 25%, I signed the papers.
