I’m not sure what the HVAC technician was doing when he came to the house, but he wasn’t installing a new HVAC system.
- The old system had been removed the previous day, and the AC unit and furnace were sitting in the backyard.
When I got home from work the next afternoon, there was still a furnace and AC unit sitting out there, but they looked different. The HVAC technician was supposed to be at the house by 3PM, and I was thinking they hadn’t yet arrived. The way they did windows of arrival, I could be eating dinner before the HVAC technician arrived. When there was a no show for the HVAC technician, and the equipment was still in the yard the next morning, I called the HVAC company. I was told someone had been there and installed the new HVAC system. How could someone have been there when it was still outside. The person I was talking to said someone would come back during the day and pick up the old equipment. I was okay with this, but that didn’t solve the problem that I had noticed a sticker on the AC unit that looked brand new. I was wondering if they had reinstalled the old AC unit and furnace, and left the new behind. The woman said that had never happened. Maybe it hadn’t in the past, but I was sure it happened yesterday. When the HVAC technician arrived that morning, he told me he had in fact the wrong HVAC system, and he would switch it around and take away the old.
