What mom wants, she gets.
My dad puts on a great fight, but in the end, he always gives in.
It has always been this way, and it’s the funniest thing to watch. At times, I suppose dad just likes saying no so he can watch mom argue about some random thing. She goes into long speeches about why she needs a new gadget at home, or a new automobile, and so on. They do share their income, and she makes great money. But, dad insisted he is the one to get her everything she needs. This time, the fight was about the strangest thing I had ever heard. I came downstairs and found them in the home office. Mom was in the middle of a speech about a whole-home air purification system. Our indoor air quality hasn’t been the best, so mom was right about needing the purification unit. Dad said they were better off with a portable whole-house air purifier. They’d have it set up in the kitchen, and it didn’t cost an arm and a leg. Hearing that made me think this wasn’t the first time mom was talking about the whole-home air purification system. Dad had done his research and knew it cost a lot of money, so that’s why he proposed a portable unit. This time, I watched mom stop in the middle of her rant. She gazed at dad, and said she was getting the whole-home air purification system whether he was in or out
