I am not sure why Kevin got into this side hustle, but it’s a good one to have if you have a talent for restoring old furniture.

My friend Kevin has a side job that he does only on the weekends. He buys old furniture from yard sales, and he fixes them and then flips them for a profit. He has been doing this for a few years now, and although it’s very lucrative, he’s not making enough to quit his day job. I assume if he invested all his time into this side job, he could really be successful at it. One of his favorite things to do is to go to antique stores or flea markets and find vintage wooden chairs and restore them back to new. He also does this for wooden tables as well as other wooden furniture. I am not a huge fan of antique furniture, but I have purchased a couple of wooden chairs from Kevin, and he made them look like new. I have them in my living room and I get complimented on them all the time. Restoring some of these wooden furniture doesn’t take a whole lot of time as most of them are in great condition. In fact, Kevin has purchased wooden chairs from a flea market and flipped them in one weekend. I am not sure why Kevin got into this side hustle, but it’s a good one to have if you have a talent for restoring old furniture. All you would need is a truck, a shed, and the tools or materials needed to restore the wooden furniture. The overhead cost for this side hustle is very low, and the turnover is fast, if you know what you’re doing. Either way, I hope that Kevin continues with his side hustle and can eventually turn it into a major business.
