I wanted an outdoor kitchen.

We had a small farm, and I spent half my time during the early fall over a hot stove.

I made spaghetti sauce and marinara that would get us through the winter. I had tomatoes, tomato sauce, and tomato soup. We canned all the vegetables we planted, and I even canned meat from the beef cattle. I wanted to keep all the heat and humidity out of the house, and told my husband I needed an outdoor kitchen. When I wasn’t canning and drying, I was hosting picnics. We had a six acre yard with three pavilions that sat over 100 people. We would rent the pavilions out, and I catered the parties. We have had weddings, bridal showers, baby showers, birthday parties, anniversary parties, and family gatherings to enjoy our home. We rent several portable restrooms for the events, and I do all the catering. That’s another time I wished I had an outdoor kitchen. Last year, my husband had a shipping container kitchen delivered to our home. It was near the house, so I had easy access, and it was amazing. I never thought an old shipping container could be turned into a kitchen, but my shipping container kitchen had everything I needed, including storage space. There was a large refrigerator big enough to hold enough food for almost 400 people, two stoves, and more counter space and cupboards than four houses. My shipping container kitchen was more than I could hope for. Everyone who booked a party at our picnic area was impressed with my shipping container kitchen.
