That’s it, we are tired of the heat this summer. We have been living in this lake house for the last 20 years and we believed unless the sun was going to directly light the earth on fire we’d be comfortable. There was a certain warmth that we had no issues with and to be tolerable we never thought we’d hit our breaking point. It does not matter where we are these afternoons, the weather is unbearable. So today we broke down and bought a window air conditioner. Our friend who is an HVAC professional told us we should just get a central air conditioner but we don’t think we need that right now. She keeps saying it’s only going to get hotter and one day you’re going to wish you had a central air conditioner. We don’t think about that. When we get older we plan to give this lake house to our child and we want to live in an old folk home and drink Dunkin Donuts Coffee with some friends without worries of lake house repairs. These are the dreams we have. We think when growing up it’s about getting your license, then getting to the age limit of buying your first beer and there are other things. But to us, those are the greatest things. Right now we are just thinking about retiring and residing the rest of our life carefree. But until then we believe we need to go to the store and buy a window air conditioner. We hope it’s easy to install because that might be a deal breaker but who are we kidding. We cannot survive in this heat.
