There are many must haves homeowners put on their list when looking to purchase their first home.

A certain amount of bedrooms and bathrooms usually tops the list.

SOme look for a garage, a big yard, a certain neighborhood, etc. Many people forget to include central air conditioning and heating on their must have lists because they assume that all homes are equipped with heating and cooling. I have a friend who is a realtor and she was trying to accommodate a couple’s checklist for their first home. She found a home for them, but the only downside was there was no central air conditioning and heating. The home checked all of their other boxes, such as a wrap around porch, wood floors, large windows, big kitchen, and huge yard. The couple fell in love with the home but they were completely stuck on whether or not they would be willing to purchase a home that did not come with central heating and air conditioning. The couple decided to reach out to their good friend who happens to be a technician at a local heating, ventilation, and cooling corporation. Steve, the HVAC technician asked if he could go tour the house with them to see how complicated it would be to install heating and cooling in their dream home. Steve used his knowledge of HVAC and determined that it would not be really hard to install heating and cooling. He even offered them a friends and family discount if they decided to use his HVAC company for this project. The couple bought the home and had Steve install the heating and cooling.
