The warmth reminds me of my grandma.

There is nothing like going to grandma’s house. I have so many wonderful memories of grandma’s house. My siblings and I recently all got together for the first time in a couple of years, and we mostly talked about grandma’s house and our memories made there. One memory that we all had in common was gaining an average of five pounds when staying at grandma’s house for a week. It was crazy how much we ate when at her house. Another thing that we all remembered was how warm grandma kept her house. It really did not matter what time of year it was; grandma’s house would be about eighty degrees. It was nice in the winter time, but during the summer months, eighty degrees is too warm. My grandma did use air conditioning because we live down south, and it gets really hot during the summer months. It is usually over a hundred degrees for most of the summer. The air conditioning is set to eighty though, so the house still feels too warm in my opinion. It is a memory that we will always have though. I actually miss walking into that really warm house. The warmth reminds me of my grandma. It is really hilarious to me, but my younger sister keeps her house at eighty degrees each September 4th in memory of our grandmother. September 4th was her birthday, so my sister remembers her by making her house warm just as grandma’s house used to be. It was so nice to visit with my siblings and talk about our memories of our sweet grandmother and the good old days staying at her house.
