I love working as an HVAC technician, but sometimes I have to do some really hard and exhausting jobs.
Last summer, I was working on an old central air conditioner that had stopped working.
I knew what the problem was, but I wasn’t sure if it was fixable. The person I was working for really didn’t want to have to get a new central air conditioning system, but after working on the old unit for hours, I told him he needed a new central air conditioner. The customer got really angry and told me I was the worst HVAC technician he had ever seen. He ran me off his property and called a different heating and cooling company and asked them to send in their best HVAC technician. The other HVAC company sent in their technician, and he had the same problem as I did. The customer ran that HVAC technician away and tried to sue my HVAC company, and the other one that he had hired. He lost the suit, obviously, but I will never forget how angry he was when I told him he would need a new central air conditioning system. Another time, I was fixing a customer’s central air continuing system, when suddenly a huge bird swooped down and attacked me! I ran for cover and hid for a few minutes, then came back out to continue working on the air conditioner, but only a few seconds later the bird was back to attack me! We had to call animal control before I could constitute fixing the central air conditioner again. Being an HVAC technician can take you on some epic adventures!
