For me, Christmas shopping is a year-long ordeal that starts the afternoon after Christmas and ends the afternoon before the next one.
This gives me plenty of time to make the most of sales and promotional offers throughout the entire year, making sure I get something for everyone on my list.
I supply myself up until the final afternoon before to make sure I didn’t forget anyone, however surprisingly I finished early this year. After a full afternoon of store hopping to make all the stops I needed I managed to make the last purchase I needed. When you finally finish with an important task like that it’s a wonderful relief. Once all my bags were brought in I wanted to relax in the toasty, comforting heat of my heater, although I still had labor to do. So, while I was able to adjust my thermostat to send hot air through the vents, slowly heating up my home from where the furnace was inactive all afternoon, it wasn’t time to relax yet. All of the modern items I had brought in needed wrapped and labeled! Everyone had a weird type of wrapping paper designated to them so that it’d be easy to tell who the present belonged to, and once wrapped I topped each box with a bow made of curly ribbons and stuck a to-from nametag on each. The shiny, colorful paper looked incredible, if I do say so myself; the appealingly wrapped presents were constantly my favorite part of Christmas. With my shopping done and wrapping completed, I was finally able to kick back and bask in the beautiful warmth produced by my heater, enjoying the toasty atmosphere and Christmassy atmosphere.
