The time of year has finally come for me to get a new furnace for the house.
The winter season is going to be here very soon.
I am torn about which type of system I would rather purchase to be installed into my home. I currently have a gas furnace. The horror stories of having a gas furnace have never been true for me or for us. There has never been anything bad that has happened to us. The other option for us would be to install an electric furnace. With this type of furnace the energy bills would increase a little more but it would have great efficiency and be much more safe to have. If we kept the gas furnace we would not pay as much money each month but we might have to still be concerned that our carbon monoxide alarm still be working frequently. I really do not want to have to rely on my alarm to make sure that I am safe in my home. The house does feel spotty sometimes but the house does stay warm. I still have heat and I do not pay a lot of money. Upgrading the system to an electric furnace would actually be a great upgrade. I am so comfortable with having the gas furnace since it has worked so well for us in our home. Despite all of that though, I think I will upgrade. I hope that my home will feel less spotty and that my home will be more comfortable this winter. I will be paying a little more but I think it will be worth it.
