I cherish old homes! Ever since I was a little kid I have absolutely enjoyed old homes.

I grew up always going to my Grandparent’s home that was a historic condo and when my parents retired they also bought a historic home, so, I know it was just in my DNA to get a historic condo of my own one morning, but there is a lot of work that goes into preserving an older home.

There are codes you have to follow and inspections you have to have if you want to do any major condo major condo improvement projects… One thing that you have to keep in mind when purchasing a historic condo is the heating and cooling system, then most historic homes have the original heating and cooling system installed and for the most part you absolutely can’t make any major upgrades to the heating and cooling system. Something I didn’t know when purchasing an older condo is that they were not normally built with air duct and you honestly can’t rip up part of the home inorder to have them installed. I know that it is going to be a lot of work, but I am absolutely happy to own a historic condo one morning. I will just have to find an Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C contractor that specializes in heating and cooling in historic homes. I know it will be high-priced, but I guess it will be worth it!
