I thought the beach might have been a bad idea
My girlfriend and I went to a diner last Saturday and it was our first time eating at the restaurant. The restaurant is located on the other side of town. My girlfriend and I were on our way to the beach and we decided to stop for a bite to eat. We had eggs, bacon, toast, and pancakes. I had eggs benedict and my girlfriend had scrambled eggs. I also had french toast instead of pancakes. The diner was cold and frigid, because people kept opening the door. Every time the door was opened, the cold air from outside came into the building. I was already sitting underneath an air conditioner vent and the AC was running on high. The cold air from outside plus the addition of the air conditioner made it necessary to wear my jacket. The food was really good, but both of us were in a rush to get out of that cold building. My girlfriend and I were happy when the sun finally came out. Everything started to warm up and the cold air turned into warm air. I have to be honest. I was worried that the sun was never going to come out. I thought the beach might have been a bad idea. By noon it was almost 90° and the perfect weather for a day outside in the sun. My girlfriend and I ended up renting a pontoon boat and we drove around the intercoastal waters all afternoon. I wish we would have been more prepared, because it would have been a lot of fun to go fishing too.
