Okay, so I just made myself sound like a complete nerd.
For sure, I’m always interested in making sure that we aren’t over spending on air conditioner.
And now is the time of year when that interest is particularally piqued, then yet, calling my savings strategies hobbies is a bit much. But that’s exactly what my fiance calls it. Around this region, if you let the Heating, Ventilation, in addition to A/C device just run wild, you will spend money for it. I mean, I’ve been shown some energy bills from the neighbors that are unbelievable. What some people are willing to spend for cooling the cabin is beyond me. What’s more is the fact that a homeowner particularly doesn’t have to get cleaned out over air conditioner. But so several folks just recognize that’s part of the deal. I hear all the time about how we don’t spend money much of anything at all for heating so we make up for it during our blazing Summers. That’s just not an sufficient mindset for me. I one hundred percent agree that a home has to have some cooling comfort to even get through this type of Summer heat in addition to humidity. But I make sure that we don’t get stupid about it. That means limiting the air conditioner use during the Springtime so we’re all getting more comfortable with higher temperatures. And then, it’s all about making sure that the temperature control setting is such that we aren’t over cooling the cabin during the peak heating hours. This is the best way to save currency in addition to I do that by programming the digital temperature control. Plus, we incorporate fans to supplement the cooling from the heat pump. I even hang out the clothes in the Summer which my fiance just gets a pressing kick out of.
