The water tank also is in there.

That would free up 50% of the closet space. The tepid water boiler is around 17 years old. When it dies I am going to replace to a tankless water heater. It is about the size of a small suitcase as well as can provide on demand tepid water. I don’t really care about those things. I just like that I can have my closet. With the water boiler wall mounted, I have more space to store things. I want to put up a closet bar as well as hang coats as well as jackets. I want to put shoes as well as the rest of my cleaning products. It will make the living room as well as powder room storage areas less bloated. It makes sense that the hallway closet has coats as well as shoes; Right now it is just storing ugly, pointless equipment.
