I had read a lot about dermaplaning facial services, and I wanted to give it a try.
- I had a lot of peach fuzz on my face, and some of it was looking a bit shaggy.
I was told if I shaved my face, it would start looking like a man, so I wanted to try dermaplaning facial services. I had read where dermaplaning facial services were the spa’s special of the month, but I was hesitant about having a procedure like that done in a spa. I wanted to call the doctor and see if he could do it. He took pictures of my face and showed me where he would be working. He explaining they used a small blade to scrape off the top layers of the skin, along with the peach fuzz. He could remove the small lines that were already forming on my skin, and he could help to remove the scars of my teen year’s acne. I asked how it was performed and how long it would take to heal. When he said I would need to take off at least two weeks of work, I was confused. If this was an in-office procedure, why would I need to take off work. He told me there would be redness and swelling for a week or two, and they didn’t want the patient to do heavy lifting. I babysat my two great-grandchildren, and neither one of them knew what it was to use their own legs. Dermaplaning facial services sounded like a good idea until I learned about the lifting and it taking up to a year without being in the sunshine. You can’t be in a pool with your grandchildren and not be out in the sun, and it was almost summer.
