I labor in an office building that’s shared by several different companies, we’re each on a different floor, and our signs are plainly posted in the lobby downstairs, but my pal and I all share several amenities like bathrooms and a giant dining room… Thankfully, all of the companies tend to get along, however i even like to speak to some of the employees at the other companies when I’m outside on my dinner break.

There’s a giant patio section downstairs that we all share when we want to eat dinner outside.

It’s nice to have a place like that outside where we can all congregate together. I even got a date once from an employee from one of the sibling companies in the building. The only thing that I do not like about this building is the fact that we share essentially the same a/c. The whole conditioning system has been really freezing lately. I was told that the a/c was recently tested and ran tests on and thus is now working better than before, and although their version of better is my version of being too cold. So I have to wear hot clothing at labor or I start shivering at my desk. I’m not allowed to use a space furnace at my desk because of the electricity. I’m sure they are distraught about the fire risk with a space furnace as well. I wish that each corporation had its own Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system in the building, however I know that’s not the most cost-effective or straight-forward way to go about doing things. If it was my decision, I would just run the a/c at a higher temperature. I’ve seen other employees at our corporation freezing during the labor afternoon. I know I’m actually not the only one.
