My last trip was for our wedding anniversary, and I really enjoy traveling because I always come home with new ideas that I can try at home. My wife and I had planned to take a break from parenting and go on a weekend getaway, and while we were there, I noticed that the cabin’s Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning replacement did not use any ducts! That piqued my interest because they seemed concerned with HVAC maintenance beyond just the thermostat and had changed the air filters before my friend and I even arrived. My wife speculated that the ducts were cleverly concealed for aesthetic purposes, but I pointed out that there simply wasn’t room for them. My friend and I found the cabin to be very efficient, but we did not understand how it worked, so on our second morning there I asked the caretaker what was used to help with indoor comfort. A ductless heat pump, the caretaker informed us. Due to my familiarity with ducted HVAC systems, I was unaware of their existence. The caretaker was ill-equipped to answer our questions, but she offered to take us to meet the HVAC company so that we could learn more. Nonetheless, I assured him that when my friend and I got home, we would ask the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) expert at the local contractor about the brand name of the HVAC unit. It wasn’t until the HVAC technician came to service our home’s air conditioner that I remembered I had concerns. In preparation for the day when I decide to replace our heating and cooling system, I was able to learn more about it, the reasons why more people are adopting it, and the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning brands that offer the highest quality products.
